Falls Church

Falls Church, Virginia is a region governed by Fairfax County that is directly surrounding the City of Falls Church. Sharing a common history with the City, Falls Church’s history dates back to the 17th century with the establishment of a colonial settlement. It takes its name from The Falls Church, which was established in 1732. Prior to western settlement, the area was home to members of either the Anacostan or Doeg chiefdoms.

Quality of Life:

Frequently named one of CNN's top 100 places to live in the US, Falls Church offers the best of suburban living with quick access to downtown D.C. With the adjacent City of Falls Church offering a walkable downtown area, complete with a weekend Farmer’s Market, residents of Falls Church enjoy access to both this small town lifestyle and popular nearby commercial centers. Seven Corners, in the easternmost part of the Falls Church region, offers a wide range of shopping options and access to major arteries such as Arlington Boulevard, Wilson Boulevard, Leesburg Pike, Sleepy Hollow Road, and Hillwood Avenue. It was actually the convergence of so many roads in one place that gave Seven Corners its name. Bailey’s Crossroads, further removed from Falls Church City and bordering Alexandria and Annandale, features a variety of shopping centers with countless national retail and restaurant chains.

Residents of Falls Church, Virginia are governed by Fairfax County and thus are part of the Fairfax County Public School System, one of the largest in the country and also frequently one of the highest ranked.

Getting Around:
